OUR STANDARDS

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have motor, cognitive, or other disabilities.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

Our efforts include:
- Adding text descriptions (alt text) to meaningful images.
- Using clear headings and page structure so screen readers can navigate the site.
- Making sure text has strong color contrast and can be resized.
- Making sure the site can be used with a keyboard alone.
- Writing in clear, plain language.
- Reviewing the site regularly and fixing issues as we find them.

THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

Some parts of our website are provided by other companies, including our FareHarbor online registration and booking system, embedded social media content, and links to partner websites. We do not control the accessibility of these services, but we choose providers who share a commitment to accessibility. If you have trouble using any of them, please contact us and we will help you register or find the information you need another way.

ACCESSIBILITY AT OUR CAMPS AND LESSONS

We welcome surfers of all abilities. If you or your child have a disability or need an accommodation to take part in a camp or lesson, please contact us before you register. We will talk through your needs and do our best to make surfing a safe and positive experience.
